The 2014 Balboa Skim Contest in California could not have gone much better. The waves were a solid 3-4ft glassy swell both days of the contest. The weather was warm and the sun was out most of the event as well. Pro Mens riders Jason Wilson and Dave Scott advanced through the first few round of the event but were eliminated just before the quarter finals. Casey Kiernan, who had already taken the 2014 women’s pro title, skimmed great in the first round but was eliminated in the semi finals. AM riders Casey Ritzer and Naji Taha skimmed well throughout the event with Casey standing out the most taking 4th in the semi pro and 2nd in his division. All in all it was a great event!
