The final day of the OBX Skim Jam turned out to be a great one as the conditions shaped up quite nice. With smaller swell and offshore winds the skim was more reachable and there was some fun liners to be had. We kicked off the day with the Pro Quarters and they put on a show. Some stand outs were John Akerman and Sam McCoy. They were throwing down some crazy combos. In the end though, John made it to the finals and placed 3rd overall and Sam placed 5th. Casey Kiernan was killing it as always as she powered her way through the Women’s Pro division and took home the win. Libby Rendal took 3rd place and in Women’s Pro and Sidney Pizza 2nd Place in the girl’s division. All the AM’s were exciting to watch, there is a lot of new talent coming up and its apparent our sport is in good hands. With that being said, we are excited for the Amateur World Championships coming up in August in Dewey Beach, Delaware. That is our next stop and we hope to see everyone there!
